Hey guys, i've just received my victory new and I took it out last sunday to test it..i chrono'd it and it shot at 220 - 240 and I couldn't get it to go up no matter how much adjusted the reg..when I turn it too much clockwise it starts going down and a turn it too much counter clockwise again it starts going down..my mate said it was something to do with the LPR and HPR..so i went back and used the pressure tester given and resetted both back to factory recommended values..i took it out today again and the same thing happened..most i got was 270 and I couldn't get it to go up anymore..can someone help me with this problem..?? Dwell is still at 6 (factory setting)..

first step is to remove the engine (bolt system) and clean/relube it

then change the battery for a fresh, good quality one

if that doesnt sort it then take apart the HPR and if needed the LPR

it should have come with a card showing the first three chrono readings when they test them at the factory, if the readings on there are fine then it might be worth giving them a ring before you take apart the HPR and LPR

hope this helps

If you can get it to 270 and stay there, thats all you need anyway tbh. but i understand taht it would be nice to be able to adjust it.

Have a look on the Bob Long marq section on the nation. There's loads of info on there. There was one I noticed on there last week that was sent out with a dodgy lpr piston I am not saying it is that but it's worth keeping in mind. If the lpr is at 80 and hpr somewhere around 200 it should clear 280 fps no problem. Also if you get the chance run someone else's gauges through it as some of those can be out to. Where do you train? We train at bricket we're there on 26th and 5th next. We all run victories so if needs be and you can get there we could take a look. Oh also they much prefer lp air. If you run hp eventually the gripframe oring will go.

Yea just had a look at it last night and i'm going to try a few suggestions..hopefully it'll be fixed by then..i train at brickettwood as well..i'll be down on the 26th definitely..would you mind if I pop by with it if I still have problems..? I was thinking of getting a lp reg..any suggestions..? I'm kinda new to bob long markers..ohh and another question..i know that we can't use US tanks here because of the different classifications but what about the tank regs..? Are they the same..?

Tank regs are fine dude, what air system are you using at the moment?
Does sound like lpr problem on the gat, as Steve says if you can get it to Bricket wood we'll take a look at it for you

Yeah mate just grab someone in an STD jersey lol.
As Rich says our regs are the same as US regs it's the bottle stamp that's different. Again as Rich says what you running it on.
Also to be honest if you are not familiar with Bob Longs gats I wouldn't look to stripping the lpr just yet, by all means strip the engine down and check it if you want to but it needs to be Dow 55 you use on it NOTHING else and only very lightly lubed. With no lube on the doughnut oring. If you do strip the engine check the brown doughnut is in the right way round (oring side goes back in first) also make sure ithas no dinks or scratches on the inside. I don't think it's your engine though to be honest and we have about 8 other engine to illuminate that straight away lol. Where did you get the Gat?
