On the note of mags does anyone know, how easy it would be to cut an old crown point barrel down flush with the end of the body, and thread it for cocker thread?

You'd have to have some pretty specialist equipment to turn the barrel and thread it to cocker. Crown points were not the best barrels in the world either we always swapped to SmartParts asap.

So it it wouldnt be a case of cutting and tapping the threads? (I know there are mo technical ways of explaining it, but that is the way I understand thing layman's thinking!)

you cant really cut down a stock barrel as the oring grooves are too deep an when you thread it for the cocker thread it comes through :(
the docs adapters use a ego stlye detent rather than the mag type, speak to @Gee Tee I did make one for him so he may have one spare

if you dont have any luck I do have a cut down back which I can try for you, it may work if I loose the front o-ring groove
