egg door alteration

Guys do you know of an alteration or conversion that can be made to the egg so that the battery door isnt so fragile.

they havent gottern round to sorting that out they did the bay door which is better but not that

i heard somewhere that there is a conversion which moves the batteries further up into the body so theres less strain on the door

not heard of that. if u find out let me no, i've gone through about 3 doors

possibly but i thought it was more complicated then that

heres basicly what can happen.
Remove the spring connectors from the board and body of the egg. find 2 push on connectors for the 9v batterys and therefore reduce the pressure on he door

Gav, Think Lovetone means using pliers just squeeze the connectors gentley to lower them. But i wouldnt as its the batteries pressing on the door that keep it firmly shut. A good bunker dive will open you up and loose batteries and break door leaving you writing another thread in the classifieds asking for a battery door!
