WHAT DO WE PROVIDE;

Your own private safe-zone with parking and toilet facilities. This is not shared with rental players. Hot / Cold food available all day, as is tea and coffee naturally.

Your own private woodland arena’s, which are designed for walk-on / woodsball tournament play. These fields are maintained all year round and provide varied tactical play, which are enhanced by the use of different scenario’s – Retrieve the Medi-packs, Capture the Flag, It’s a Riot, Hopper Ball and more !

Timed and scheduled games, clearly called to ensure a minimum of 10, 10 minute games throughout the day. Games may be lengthened and / or extra games may be added to the afternoon session of games.

For your information, here is a copy of our rules for our days play. These rules are also displayed in the basecamp.

HOLMBUSH PRO SPORT

This event is not a PRO-Tourney. It is a FUN event.
For YOUR benefit, please behave in a reasonable fashion showing appropriate respect to our staff and other players.

SAFETY

· NEVER fire any marker in the base camp / safe area.
· Barrel socks on ALL guns BEFORE entering the safe area.
· Goggles on BEFORE leaving the safe area.

GUN RULES

· 12 BPS limit on all markers.
· Semi mode only*
· All markers will be chronographed on random games.
· MAX 280 FPS.
· No tools to be bought onto the field of play.

*We realize that some response markers can be difficult to exactly calibrate and you may not possess the original semi auto grip frame. We will allow you to continue to use a response mode marker with 2 critieria;

1- MAX 10 BPS on response mode
2- MAX 260 FPS

Other than banning these markers, we feel this is the fairest solution to this particular problem. You are using an assisted trigger which can be deemed as a unfair advantage, hence the lower BPS rule. Should you ‘accidentaly’ catch someone in a spray of several shots, the lower FPS rule will reduce the risk of any unwanted injury.

This rule may be subject to change on any given day, as we would like the oppourtunity to make it it work for all concerned.

BOTTLE RULES

· All bottles must be within test date.
· All bottles must be ‘Pi’ stamped.
· All bottles will be checked by a marshall before being filled and fitted with a tag. Failure to have a tag on your bottle will result in your bottle being confiscated for that day.

PAINT RULES

· Extra Branded Paint available on the site.
· Any BYO paint will be subject to our approval.

GAME RULES

· Marshal’s decisions are final.
· Marshals are neutral and may NOT be shot at. DO NOT shoot within 10ft of a marshal.
· Any hit on ANY part of the player AND associated equipment count as an elimination from that game.
· Fields will be locked out once final calls have been made.
· Game start denoted by Airhorn.
· Game Over denoted by Airhorn.
· Game Pause denoted by Whistle ; Games may be paused due to an onfield safety incident – Stop shooting and moving until instructed otherwise.
· Boundaries denoted by orange stakes / orange markers.
· If eliminated raise your hand, pot or gun and immediately move to the nearest boundary to leave the field of play.

GAME FORMATS

· AM Games : One Hopper and a pot games limited to 200 shot hoppers and 140 shot pots. > 340 shots Total
· PM Games : One Hopper and TWO pot games limited to 200 shot hoppers and 140 shot pots. > 480 shots Total
· 10-15 Minute games.
· Teams may be randomly picked as decided by the game organizer.

ETTIQUETTE and PENALTIES

· Treat others as you wish to be treated.
· When a paint check is being made THAT bunker or area is neutral. No one may target ANY players in this area. Players in this area MUST stop shooting.
· No bonus balling.
· No cheating, wiping or dead men talking. Hot Guns, Wiping, Over aggression or Bonus balling
Any action we deem to be against the spirit of the game will result in the use of a gravity hopper for the rest of that days play or even removal from the day, depending on the severity of the action.

Further penalties for a ‘Gravity Hopper’ user will result in a ban at our site and other sites.

You will get a Game Briefing at the start of each walk-on day. You MUST take the time and effort to be there and listen to it in it’s entireity as this is being done for your safety and overall enjoyment. There may also be a few changes introduced that would not want to miss !

In addition to the above rules and the safety briefing here are some tips (In no particular order) to make the day that much more enjoyable for both yourself and others. Read this and apply it to any site you play at – you’ll be amazed at how well sites will react to you when you make the effort.

-Don’t swear at or abuse the marshal’s / other players. There may be younger children and parents present at the site for any number of reasons.

-Do not try and shoot through a marshal, just ask them to move.

-Do not argue with any marshal calls

-If you have called a paint check, stop shooting at that area so the marshal can actually go in and check the call.

-If you are hit, shout “Dead Player, I am OUT !” or even better “Great shot, I am OUT !”. Raise a pot , your gun or your hand so it is clearly visible and keep it raised. Now leave the field in the direction of the nearest boundary and leave the field of play. Keep your hand up as you walk to the safe zone, or may be mistaken for a live player and shot again. You then have NO cause for complaint !

-If you are subject to an incident of poor sportsmanship, please, bite your tongue and allow the site staff to deal with it. If you retaliate in any way you will find yourself in the exclusive “Gravity Hopper Only Club”.

-Please remember that none of the staff are biased in any way. Why would they be ?

-Please respect the fact it can be very difficult to differentiate between excessive spray or a direct shot. Every sport suffers from decisions by the referees that may not be accurate, but were believed to be correct at that time. We do not have the benefit of TV replays, so you may be lucky in some calls and unlucky in others – strange fact: the more you protest the more unlucky calls become for you…

-When teams are randomly generated by the organizer / staff, please do not alter this by swapping armbands.

-If a team becomes uneven at any time, it will be reorganized to keep it both fair and interesting for all the customers.

-Anyone being buddied up for the first time will not be split up.

All this information has been copied from the walk-on section on the walkonzone.com and I asked their persmission to post it here.

If people have any questions, I'd suggest getting in contact with Holmbush either through walkonzone and looking up Banbwagon, who works at Holmbush or contacting them directly via phone or email.
