Paintball Markers no longer on E-Bay

As you may be aware, it is now against e-bays policy to list Paintball Markers.

Because of this we have just added a used markers section to Fat Bob's Paintball

well what about the UK ebay. cos ebay.co.uk still have them listed, y would American law affect a site which deals with the UK???

Paintball guns are now banned on e-bay in the UK. My dad knows someone who works for e-bay in America and he says that it is due to complaints that they have received from people in the UK about someone selling fully auto paintball guns and thunderflashes on the UK auctions. E-Bay don't know much about the Paintball industry so they have just banned them in the UK. Some guns are still on there but will be removed as e-bay staff manually remove offending listings it is not done automatically.

The reason why you cannot sell markers on Ebay is because they are classed as air rifles. These in turn are firearms and you cannot sell firearms on ebay.

I dont think it has anything to do with paintballs image. Ebay have just gotten a little stricter thats all. You will probably find that ebay looks for key words (Air rifle, firework etc) and dissallows those items. Anyway be thankful that paintball markers are classified as air rifles, coz it makes it harder to ban them.

Air rifles are not firearms. Firearms need a firearms certificate. Air rifles don't.
