Stako-Removing a reg and refitting?

Have noticed that over the 4 weeks since i have used my bottle its lost about 1000psi (2000 down to 1000). havent noticed this happening before. stuck it under some water today to make sure and its leaking from the joint of the bottle to the reg.
Is it ok to take the reg off and retighten it to see if it reseals? would this require a retest? but you cant get a Stako tested. if this is ok what torque do you have to retighten to? is there a seal that would be needed to be replaced? Or is it nothing to worry about? surly cant be but any advise would be great

Make sure all the air is removed before attempting anything.

Just checked Stake web site and it says the reg is 'hand tighten/no tools to be used' and the seal relies on a o-ring. anybody have an idear where i can get a new seal?
And yes i will get the air out before i try anything

ok, 50nm is the correct torque and there is an o-ring at the base of the regs thread that may need replacing.

Granted, but i would like to have a spaire in case it is shot and i take it apart and it turns from a small leak to a huge leak that means i wont be able to use the bottle for next weekend.
Are they rubber o-rings or neoprene type?
