A very good white friend of mine has been married to his Indian wife for over ten years and has decided to adopt a child, during the prerequisite interviews to complete the paperwork they had to meet a social worker who specialised in adoption cases, during the interview they was asked about what children they would prefer to adopt.
They rightly said if a child of mixed race came available they would like to be considered, OH you can not say mixed race the social worker says to my friends, but if we had a child it would be mixed race my friends say rather perplexed.

Most of the problem stems from Councils and do-gooders not wishing to offend anybody.

No the problem comes from someone being paid to think this rubbish up.
Once they have the 'job',they have to think of ever more inventive ways of keeping the 'job'.
