Game Scenario

Vietnam War
Armed conflict occurred in the southeast of asia from 1959 to late April of 1975, between the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, supported by its communist allies and the Republic of Vietnam with the support of the United States and its allies in that region.
The country was temporarily divide in two on the 17th parallel under the Geneva Convention, which stated that the two military areas should have a demarcation line. This line, known as Demilitarized Zone, divided the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, lead by Ho Chi Minh, from the Republic of Vietnam lead by Ngo Dinh Diem.

In 1965, the United States sent troops to prevent the South Vietnam government from collapsing and to avoid the invasion of the north and the subsequent unification of Vietnam under the power of the communist regime. According to the American government theory, if the South Vietnam would fall into the hands of the communist northern forces, the whole Asian southeast would fall too. If they couldn’t stop communism it would spread to the United States. It was best to fight it on the Asian soil rather than in the American.

On the Democratic Republic of Vietnam side, the communist support was ruthless. With an enormous tactical sight, they managed to provide and encourage the forces of the National Liberation Front in South Vietnam – known as Vietcong. To support this logistic and military system they built the Ho Chi Minh trail, a complex route of roads and tunnels, starting of the North Vietnam , going through Laos and Cambodia and opening smaller trails throughout the South Vietnam.

The Guerrilla
Between 1964 and 1972 the Special Operations (SOG), created by the C.I.A., lead some operations to infiltrate on the North Vietnam to recognize the territory, psychologically torment the enemy, recover pilots and prisoners of war, and also to instruct native forces to integrate their teams of 6 to 8 men.
On the other hand, the Vietcong lead similar operations to recruit activists spread chaos and demoralize the enemy troops. With this, they managed to infiltrate the South Vietnam army.

The successful attack lead to Tet, on 1968, is record forever in history because of the wide range attack to the urban areas which included the American Embassy and other political, ethical and military strategic places.

Which Vietnam shall conquer domination? North or South? The decision is yours!

North Vietnam: NVA + Vietong

South Vietnam: ARVN + SOG's
