Welsh open was it a charity tourney

The reason i ask is because i am sure last year the profits from the entry fees was donated to the worthy cause's.

Also we was told that the reason we did not get trophys in the divisions was because it was a charity tourney.
So......:(

I think it's getting confused with Shoot the Rainbow. As far as I understand it - Shoot the Rainbow is the big charity event but that only happens once every three years. The Welsh Open and Shoot the Rainbow were joint last year I think which is why people thought the Welsh Open was for charity this year. I think some of it was though - the auction at the players party I think - but it wasn't as big a charity event as Shoot the Rainbow as that had representatives on site from the charities being supported.

Is that right?
