I have just read in the local paper about SWAT trying to set up a paintball site in Bebington on the wirral and the plans being "shot down" by local nature groups. I personally think this is a great thing for the area and hope we can get as many 'ballers as possible to support SWAT!

SWAT is a paintball site and team based in N.Wales, UK.

They have run a site there for at least 10 years and are now trying to open a site nearer to Liverpool (is that wise!) on the Wirral.

The Wirral is the peninsular in between N. Wales and Liverpool.

Hope that helps.

Well that's as maybe but as I played for Team SWAT back in the late 80's I think it qualifies as English too

Paul Knaggs has run Team SWAT since '88/89 to my knowledge:D :D

swat

yep as the guys have said swat has been around since 89,
the new site for those with a interest (local lads) who we all know
the wirral globe has printed in error, the planning application has not been refused, the paper has pre-empted the decison based on a non recognised body (i/e tree huggers) who know very little if nothing about paintballing, they have indicated it damages trees
talk about talking thru ones ass!!
we will see. i will keep you guys in touch and cheers for the support;)

Dude, I'm what you would class as a 'tree hugger' or somebody who likes to look after the environment, but also a paintballer. Please be careful about who you pigeonhole!
