Oh my, I think I am gonna have to delete this thread because it's getting ridiculous, if this was fictionalized for the sake of exampling the sort of characters who sometimes frequent the net, people just wouldn't believe it.
Anyways Jason (and others), I have actually spoken to you once for a few minutes but I have known a lot of these guys on here for a lot longer and as some of them rightfully remark, we know each other's humour.
And as for Ralph, well, he has been a friend of mine for coming up 20 years and so we are both well aware of each other and our respective takes on things.
I respect him and he respects me, and he has earned this respect because he knows paintball inisde and out and writes accordingly, this guy has most definitely earned his stripes.
What you sometimes think is 'bum licking' is irony, sarcasm or even just plain taking the piss, you takes yer pick out of that lot mate because they are all there.
I ain't saying there ain't no bum licking going on in this site over the years but there sure ain't any in this thread, people won't chance doing that crap because they would be ridiculed by others, and as Ralph and Skeet explain, I don't like it, I hate it in fact, I would much rather people not like me than try to publicly ingratiate themselves with me.
There are some genuinely funny and witty people on P8ntballer.com and I like seeing what they write but your self evident difficulty in writing I don't think explains your whole problem here Jason.
I think we might have to dive headlong into a medical dictionary to crack that one mate.
The vast, vast majority of people on here are pretty cool, we weed out the 'not so cool' ones and actually let some of them stay, and we do this not because we are feeling particularly benevolent, no, we do this because it entertains us to have them stay and to watch them indulge in what they feel is meaningful dialogue..
Try not to end up as one of these unfortunate characters Jason.
Ya know, people like Nick Brockdorrf, we love his posting because it displays that wondrous balance between a rational seeming structure and pure lunacy that is so endearing of Nick.
We let Mikey601 stay because he seems to have absolutely no clue as to how others see his posts even though the overwhelming evidence suggests 99.999% of people on here think he's a little round the bend, well, quite a bit round the bend actually, his nickname is 'Paperclip'.
And of course, we still allow me to post, and we do this because....well, we do it because I weigh over 16 stone.
