I play both and enjoy both..I used to play all cammed up...but now just play in my sup air kit...yeah i stand out...but then i play more aggressively in the woods nowdays.
to me there is room for both in paintball and to dismiss one or the other is foolish and naive...play a bit of both.
Get out and [play paintball for the reasons we all started....FUN...thats what its all about.

Skill level obviously varies from player to player,your ability to adapt enhances that ability but in certain situations rapid fire can hide lack of ability either wood or rubber.
The best leveller I've ever seen is limited paint games 1 hopper,1 pot and then see who can play,we did it @ southampton,wood and rubber it was great the players with tons of paint suddenly lost an edge,skill came to the fore,I must add it was the **** who weren't over happy with it.
What we also have to remember is that newbies don't enjoy getting spanked badly,well over-spanked anyway,it's their introduction to the sport and we don't want to scare them off.
I'm as guilty as the next player for shooting tooooo much paint but it's getting more affordable,limited paint allows new players to perform and players with lesser kit to hone their skills,if you know what I mean.

If Marcus could not re-adjust to the modern game, what chance do 'convertees' from punter woodsball stand. ?
i put that slightly wrong.. i meant more scenario players..
it would be a certain fair fight with either team standing a good chance if a sup air team took on the likes of Manc lions as you say or us Convicts..
What do you say to the many people (especially at my local site) who use full sup' air gear yet play in the woods?

Stencil, when i play woodsball thats is exactly how i play...as the owner of my site says.....you have the guys in camo and the sup air regulars out in their brightly coloured pyjamas.
I rely on my speed to get where im going ..that and good team work.
i have upmost respect for both wood and air players and think we need to work together better if we really want to make paintball mainstream in the uk.
