Hello folks ,

Some of you won't know me at all ,in that case this wont mean an awful lot to you :)

After a pretty sh it year with my health i have decided to call it day playing and i am off to travel the world for a year.

I wont give you all my life story , but over the last 20 years of playing paintball i have had great friends on and off the field , some teams I would like to say thanks too as they have looked after me over the years when I thought I knew better :)

Manchester Lions
Pornstars
The Firm (original one)
Endurance (Belgium team)
Shockwave
Nexus
Disruption

This are just a small number of teams that played for over the years which have put some serious road mileage as well as air mileage over the years .Nexus and Shock being the 2 that cost me more than you can possible imagine .

Robbo ,

Thanks for everything mate , i always knew better than you ;) well in my mind anyway , thanks for changing the way we all play paintball in this country now. When Nexus first began it was a huge risk for all of us no more so than you . thanks again !!,tell Dot i will miss her . :)

Pipes

I just love you ..no more no less :)

Phoenix paintball ,

These guys have been so good to me and Disruption over the last 3 yrs , they have always done what they said they were going to and never gone back on there word , We have had some fairly good results over this period ,but when times were hard they were never unconstructive in there emails to me . Its a testament to how the company is run and how professional they are and they understand that you can not win every event .thank you for the support for me and long may it continue with the team in years to come .

Planet .......

Well this is going to be a tough one , :)

What can I say about planet that has not been said on here before , The reason I have got so much time for planet is no matter how large they become as a company they never forget what its like to be a player , Ledz has always been like the older paintball brother i never had , he is the person i would go to for advice and he is one of the few people within the sport that i value his opinion, he’s always been there for me over the 7 years and made me feel part of the planet family , Thanks mate i am going to miss your abruptness :) i would also like to say thanks to Jules as he is the quiet one of the 2 owners of planet :)

And to the Mr Wood,Steve Monks ,Nicky Tomo,Stoney ,Tom Rust , Michelle ,Eilidh ,Suf and all the production staff , Thanks for everything

This just leaves my lads ,

The team will be run by Dickie next yr and i wish him all the best , I am sure he will do fine at it ,Just needs to have that dickhead streak in him when people think they know better :)

So

Chris Stone
Phil Stone
TomO
Fish
Mikey D
Andy Steele
Al France
James Bath
Richard Pike
Ryan Podesta

George and Bob Bruton

I would like to thank you all for being involved in one way or another over the last 3 yrs , Some of you made life a little more challenging than normal , but your are all real friends . Thank you and I will miss you all , even AL !:)

So in short thanks for everything folks , I would not change anything in world over the last 20 years (ok maybe 1 or 2 things , normally involving alcohol!!)there have been some great events and some even better people .

Mr Edwards I have always valued your opinion as a player and as a coach. You were there at my very first tournament giving me tips on how to play (along with Mr Latham) with the PBUK Kidz. And since then you have still given me advice and maintained some contact. I can't thank you enough in what you have done for me and also for this sport.

Though you maybe the REAL Chris Edwards we all know you will be missed. Enjoy your travels no doubt see you around coaching and yelling at your lads still :)

Take care bro and enjoy the time ahead of you.

One of the countries last true all round paintballer
Been an honour to have met you, certainly wish I could have had the chance to play alongside or for you, but most of us will never make that standard.

No matter what you future has outside balling, your legacy will live on within the sport.

All the best

Will the Real Chris Edwards please stand up

Genuinely sad to see you go, one of the nicest guys out there on the circuit. Can't claim to be best mates or anything but IMHO Chris always had a cheery hello and the time to answer any questions.

P.S. You "tripping over" George in the snake in Paris is one of those indelible moments, shame I only caught it out of the corner of my eye and the camera was pointed the other way
