OK this is who we are, legislate us. Then we could all know once and for all.

I'm guessing you've never dealt much with the government. It frequently takes years to implement legislation and that's when they are interested in the subject

From the UKPSF perspective we have gone to the Home Office on the subject of fire-modes and other than agreeing that F/A was illegal they wouldn't give an opinion on the legality of Turbo/Assisted-Fire boards

As for myself I've talked to the HSE and they just refer you back to existing legislation

For the most part we are already covered by existing Legislation be that the Firearms Acts 1968-1997 or the Transportable Pressure Vessels Regulations 2001 and whenever the issue comes up I lay out the facts

Unfortunately nobody seems to freaking listen :(

hmm

I personally believe Liz and Jose, reasons, Liz well she is sensible, when we played at the christmas party she was sensible and gave good advice, Jose (however scary) does have a clue, my physics says it is possible as does my mate who dives ( well he knows air). But just for a minute, anybody fancy trying it? or shall we take there advice and assume that they could be right? or just ignore them and possible give ourselves the bends?

Btw if anyone has been diving after a deep dive the next day your joints ache like hell ( well mine did) appartently this is due to the pressure in joints changing slowly.

Just as a side.

Hotpoint mate, that is my point. U guys take the time to find this stuff and yet no bugger listens.
At the end of the day what the hell can we do to make people listen rather than speculate?

Oh and on a side note, been chatting today to a qualified air filler thingy with loads of courses etc under his belt, And you know what.
A bottle cant explode unless damaged, The reason? The valve will always fail before the bottle, so u havent got a bomb, u have a rocket ;)
Difference? A bomb would create a blast, a rocket just shoots off.
Well we had a chat about what ifs,

If a 4500 psi valve went, u r looking at going thru 2 partition walls, maybe 3, but with no real damage to a person unless they were stood directly behind or in front of it.
As for c02, it might dent your wall :)
I know this as i have stupidly removed a valve thinking the bottle was empty, all it did was make a huge bang, scare the crap outa me and flew off into the wall. No damage other than my kegs ;)

So the whole 7oz co2 bottle blowing your house up is rubbish, How, sometimes its better to research things fully before shouting about em.

This is a serious matter, and the only real thing to remember is keep your kit in test and check it regular yourself. Thats safe enough. As for the kids at home with the soda stream bottle and a nicked pub cannister, Well let em blow themselves up. I think we are a country that can distinguish the two.

This sport is the safest its ever been, and really thats a good thing. Just no need to scare people about things that aint gonna happen.

Facts = Good

pupster01- imsure if you ask liz or Sparklie Chick (the site owner), who were both there, they will agree that the marshalls said a 7oz tank coul take ot a 2 story house and that everythin ive said so far is true. I admit that i dont have a clue if any of the stuff i said is true but i am just repeating what they said so could everyone who has a problem with it take i up with UKPSF, not me! Also i am 100% sure that you leally have to have a sticker on your car if you have ove 7oz of high pressure gas because i remember asking if i was breaking the law by taking 2 20oz tanks paintballing every week and they said yes.

Famine-we arent talking about a valve gong we're talkingabout the valve not going and the bottle exploding.

well i was just going on what id been told by another bunch of suposedly experts. If you think your right wy dont you notify them tellig them they're wrong?

I didn't say it COULDN'T happen I said it was extremely unlikely.

I considered the risk so low that I didn't include it in the risk assessment package for the UKPSF and concentrated on real hazards such as over filling, ejection of liquid etc and put real controls in place such as Personal protective equipment, operator training, approved and tested equipment etc

I fully appreciate the need to be aware of all hazards but if you worry too much about the chances of these remote ones occuring you'll never get out of bed in a morning.

Oh and don't start me on the French:D
