Lets spice it up a bit and put paintball in the paralympics.

But on a serious note the IOC says that the idea of the games are:

'To contribute to building a peaceful and better world by educating youth through sport practised without discrimination of any kind and in the Olympic spirit, which requires mutual understanding with a spirit of friendship, solidarity and fail play'

Without even going into any rules and regulations you can see why paintball, just from that statement the IOC made, can't really be an olympic sport. No discrimination? - how many females play? how many disabled people play? how many elderly players? ethnic minorities? Of course some people from all of these will play paintball, but not enough to make a change.

It Wouldn't be easy to watch and pick up for anyone watching it on TV. Not many countries play it. No one country would really specialize in it, to make it there one chosen sport.

etc
etc
etc

way i saw it was, first you need to an offical sport (that includes the 1 rule book, a governing body etc etc)
then you can apply for a exhibition at an oylmpics. If you get that far and the sport is a hit it goes to a vote to enter it into the next oympics.

so before the thought of paintball in the olympics is even thought of, it should be the goal to become a recognized sport first.

[*]Shooting - 25 m rapid fire pistol;
Is this really an event, can I turn up with my Mac 10 and own all? They should make it more difficult, 25m rapid fire tech's from the window of a Escalade doing 15mph.

Anyway, I thought this was the brainbox. Paintball in the Olympics, never going to happen; it's simply a gayer version of war.

over 100 countries play the sport, its more the fact that its countries shooting at each other and the politics behind the Olympics thats why paintball will never be in the olympics
