Air system rattle

My new air system turned up today. It is a PMI HP preset. I've had a few of these before and can't recall this on the others I've had.

It has a rattle?! Like a metallic clanking in the reg when shook/moved (not vigoursly i add). I haven't filled it yet as i am slightly put off by this noise?

I am thinking maybe it is something normal and the rattle will go under pressure?

Am torn between filling it and just sending it back to where I just bought it from?!

Anyone shed any light?

It might be the piston (not sure if it is called a piston) inside the fill nipple. As it has no pressure there is nothing to push the piston up and thus it moves about.

Was thinking it may be the back check valve, think that is what your talking about as well

i had that at first with my tank.... you just need some pressure to let the piston decide where he wants to go. so dont worry about it it'll be fine when you gass it up. i am right in saying its only a little clack/rattle?
