Barrel length

This maybe seem a stupid question but it has just caused me problems.

How do you measure barrel length??
1/ From end to end complete
2/ from when the end to where it butts up to the marker.

I have always measured from end to end.

Edit: After reading up, im not sure , my barrel is 10 from marker to tip, but 11.5 from end to end

From end to end methinks.

My ego7 barrel is listed as 14 inches and when i took a tape measure to it, 14 inches ended up being end to end including the section passed the thread

measure it against yer knob.. works for me. its a bugga tryin to get it back outta the barrel once its in tho.
