As the title suggests, I've been thinking about which type of kit to invest in and just wondered what the general consensus of opinion was on here, pros of the insert style I can come up with are:

Insert:

+ Less pieces to be annodised if you anno the marker.
+ If run 2 gats you can have a generic colour front and have 2 different colour *and* thread backs.
+ If anything gets dinged pieces can be replaced inexpensively (inserts, fronts and backs)

What are the pros and cons or multi barrel back systems? Can anyone add to the list above?

ATM I'm swaying towards a Pepperstickz because the backs are longer than others and so could be used as barrels in their own right.

I've always used a single straight bore barrel over a kit because stepped bore barrels are tougher on paint and dont shoot through as well.

Insert kits are terrible because the inserts are so fragile, plus the kits out right now have really bad systems for aligning the bore such as orings which means they wear out very quicly causing you to start breaking paint left right and center:eek:.
