hiya guys
just wondering if there is anything anyone could recomend to increase efficiency
im using a 0.68l bottle with myth reg on it and only getting a hopper and 2 pots out of a 3000psi fill
is this what i should expect from a smaller bottle? or can i get more out of my fills

500 shots to 3000 psi seems a bit low to me. Never really bother working out the shot count on my own PM7, but pretty certain I manage better than that. Have you checked the gun for small leaks (internal or external) that could be robbing you of pressure? Even a weep from a, macro line, burst disc or fill nipple would be enough to waste air. There are other mods which could help the PM7's shot count (TechT bolt kit for example), but you need to make sure it's in top condition maintainance wise first. Also is it set up correctly on board for things like dwell?

I've found most markers tend to use more air in extremely cold conditions. Some of mine empty a bottle really quickly in winter compared to shooting the same set-up in summer temperatures.

with regards to cold air, from my diving experience (especially in hot climates) when bottles fill, because of these things called gas laws, because the volume of the tank remains constant (duh) but the pressure is increasing, the temperature will increase, so you have to fill your tank as slow as practically possible, because what happens is when you stop filling, temperature drops and the pressure drops.

so basically if you fill a tank really fast in a warm room, then take it outside in cold air and start shooting it, you'll see a big drop in tank pressure.

other than that like Gee Tee said, make sure your gun is maintained well, and bare in mind it is a spoolie but like you said it does seem a little low. even try emailing dye/proto and see if this could possibly be a manufacturing fault.

hope this helps :)

500 shots from a .68L 3000 PSI isn't that far off.
If you multiply it up than it up for tank size and PSI you get

500 / 68 * 110 = 809 shotts from a 1.1L 3000psi
808 /3 *4.5 = 1214 shots from a 1.1L 4500psi

That's a small tank you are using.

Not really sure where you are coming from there Andy?

Simple fact is I've run the same size 3000psi 1.1L (68ci) tank on my PM7, and definately get a lot more than a hopper + 2 pots off a 3K fill. Possibly around the 900 - 1000 count, but I rarely shoot a tank empty so without testing it's just a guess TBH.

As I said before cold weather is a big factor and efficiency drops a lot on spoolies in winter
