We absolutely ROCKED on the first day, 5/5, losing at most 3 bodies in one game.
Second day was a much the same, (1st game of the afternoon session at 15:00!!) we dropped our game against Enemy, then rolled on into the night, the only blip being missing the flag grab by 1 step in the dark. Qualified 4th
Quarters were very tight, but we went through on 2/1 (205 pts)

Then comes the gutting part, we get to the semis & hammer Hypnotize, 1-0 up, looking good, then we chek & realise that we are running out of time to catch our plane, ditched the next one (rushing) & had to make a bolt for the airport. Finished on a total game tally of 12/3 not too bad.

Does anyone know what the prizes were for Am B?

More Am B

Hows this...
Paintoon (portugal) go thru the prelims with 10 straight maxes. Placed 1st overall at the end of the prelims with 980
*cough* *sandbaggers* *cough*
In the quarter finals they max 2, lose 1 (to the Trolls)
1 lost game puts them out of the tourney!!

Some new rules improved the format of the tournament, like the 3 games of the semi & finals, but when they decide not to accumulate the points for the quarter finals they opened the door for this kinds of injustices.

No way a Team that Max all weekend can start Monday exactly with the same points (zero) as another that only made it with less then half of Paintoon points.

perfect seasons?

**** will no one acheive that ultimate perfect season this year? Apparantly not. First with Evil losing out at Skyball (in front of my eyes), then Dynasty loses to the Dogs at LA (way to go dogs!!), and now Strange, who looked the most likely to do so, get 3rd here! I guess with Dynasty winning Portugal that means no one can get that perfect season. Oh well, just makes things more intersting! Massive props to all of the teams mentioned here for having freaking amazing paintball seasons in 2003 so far!

The stage they reached was a play-off leg...ie the teams who reached that point had QUALIFIED to be there. Effectively it then becomes a new tournament...so nothing unfair in that.

Totally agree with Mark

Could it not be the case that Paintoons draw was a liittle more forgiving than a side that qualified with half the points??

Is it not the case that the once you are in the quarter finals you are playing your peers only? So to have zero points is by far and a way the fairest.

So yes way they should start with zero points Tukisilva.

The only results from Novice was I think a team called Method that placed first. They were a good group of guys, played their hearts out in their first millennium tournament. Best of luck to them the rest of the season.
