Martin Vipas

Hi All,

Many of you may know, or at least have met or dealt with Martin (Forum ID: Faceless). He previously played on Thunder and for the past year has played alongside us on Samurai.

Sadly Martin is no longer with us, and passed away last night.

He suffered from Cystic Fibrosis, and yet never let that impede a very active life. He seldom mentioned his condition, and just got on with things be it playing football, paintball or working on his project stock racing car.

I think everyone who met Martin will agree with my sentiments, that you simply couldn't find a nicer or more helpful guy in the sport or just in general.

It's upsetting to lose a team-mate and friend - as Martin was definitely both, and would happily have done anything for anyone. Truly one of the best friends I have ever had the fortune to meet.

Best wishes go out to his family, friends and his partner.

Had a friend that suffered from CF pass away a year ago, even though people know of the condition it still doesn't prepare you for the shock of them passing away.
