Shaft 4 barrel stuck together

Right title says it all my shaft 4 barrel is stuck together and I can't actually take it apart any ideas?

forgive the dummy answer but its reverse threaded so unscrew it by turning it clockwise

Nah that's okay I've tried it with some sticky gloves and still couldn't

I have heard people say before to stick it in the freezer for a couple of hours and then give it a try with rubber gloves or do you have like a rubber strap wrench ??

Won't that effect the barrel in anyway even if I do manage to undo it?

Nope. Cooling the metal will only cause it to contact by tiny fractions of an inch. Enough in theory to pull the ridges of the screw threads away from troughs of the other.

Once it warms up it will be exactly as it was before.

2 strap wrenches would be handy but if you've not got them available then stick it in the freezer and when you bring it out put on a pair of those rubber kitchen gloves or similar and try it again.
