Hello airsmiths

It seems I have trouble understanding the current bottle regs again - so I need some advice please.

I have an old Angel AIR with LP preset on. I'm pretty sure it's out of date - but I need confirmation please. The markings are as follows:

==============================================
0.625-18UNF-2B - USA - LUXFER - HX 2887 - UN-Nr.1002
1,22KG - 1,1L - PW345PH517BAR - AA6061 - Air, Compressed
EN12245 - GB(PI Symbol)1266^ - 2003/12 ^^ 08
FINAL 2018/12

LUXFER P/N P12E-1
==============================================

Oh, and how much is a test these days?

Hi Raffles,
I am no expert but this is posted on the UKPSF site:

FIVE YEARS FOR FULL-FIBRE WRAPPED BOTTLES - EN12245 and Pi certified.

THREE YEARS FOR FULL WRAPPED BOTTLES - HSE-AL-FW2 manufactured before July 2003 then five years after retesting for SCI and Luxfer cylinders

Someone else posted recently under the thread 'hydrotesting' suggesting at Hpac it is about £40?

Cheers,
chuck

It looks like it is just out of test - and a new one will last it 5 years.

Thanks

Dusty - seems you were typing the same time as me :). That's what I thought mate. Guess it's re-test time. Do Planet still do them (to save on postage)?

or give it to hpac at an event, pick up at next event. If you cant make it to the event, get someone to do it for you that will be there.

That's easier said than done mate - I don't play any more. This is for my sons setup. Oh well, exorbitant dive shop prices it is :(.

Thanks guys.

That's my problem Tom. I would have no hesitation in handing it over to you if it wasn't for the dreaded p&p charges. Actually, do you mean a straight swap for an 'in-test' one - or did I misread?

In the meantime, I'll have to check where Dukinfield Indoor get theirs done - and find out how much it'll be.

Thanks all :).
