Good Day?

On the whole a really good day. Had some excellent games and had a good laugh. Shame it was spoilt by some blatant cheating .

All teams push the rules but when someone is shot in the lens then carries on running another 6m to shoot someone out its going a bit far. This isn’t helped when the marshals are not watching the game and let it go. In one game a dead player did a run through got his kill and got away with it and at the end of the game a marshal said he had seen it happen but as he was on the other side of the field he couldn’t do anything  .

Lets finally sort some rules for this. If a team has dead players on field at the end of a game they should be 141 for every dead player and if this means there is no one left then the win goes to the other team.

There has to be some way to give a fair result

Thats what the rules were last month at uttoxeter.

We drew our last game because the other team had a small shot on the peak of his goggles, he was then 141'd which took himself and their only other surviving player. We drew as a result.

I saw the shot, and I dont blame him for not noticing. It was the smallest of shots and I was surprised he got 141'd for it. Although having a shot on your lenses is something entirely different.

I think it comes down to player honesty more than anything else. If you know uve been shot, play fair and walk to the dead box, dont try a run through just bcs you think the marshall hasnt noticed.

I do agree that a more stern rule should be taken to players who do this, possibly call their entire team dead? Who would then want to take the risk of losing the match for the entire team, simply bcs they think the marshall didnt see?

Eagle, who were you playing for? who was this incident against? what field was it on. As for the 1-4-1 bit, if you read the masters rules it states...

15.02 After the game all live players must proceed directly to the centre of the field for
inspection. Players are allowed to turn off their loaders but not their markers. At this
time, a referee will inspect the player for hits and if any are found the Ultimate will be
notified and the one for one rule will be enforced if this is not possible the team will receive a penalty of two penalty point at seven man and 50 penalty points at a five man
event.

Reffing run thrus is hard and getting across field in time to sort everything out can be difficult if people have already left the field once this player had carried on progessing down the field. So in some cases this could have been unfortunate that the player wasnt 1-4-1'd or if the hit was on his lense 2-4-1'd if said player was then to go onto to eliminate a player.

I play for the Elsham Eagles but I dont want to get into who did it etc. This is more about these things do go on and how do we deal with it.

If there are rules which cover it then why are they not being applied. In 2 games players were removed after time had been called from the other team because they were hit including the flag hanger in one case but no other penelty was applied.

This is down to the refs, be stronger and apply the rules.

just to say I hope Field 3 got the field of the day as they were totally on top of the games.

Did anyone catch the Seekers vs Destiny XL game :p?
