the good

good quality teams to play against (xball)

good fields

tha bad

not enough marshalls on xball field

marshalls on xball field snake side just wouldnt move from their positions and wouldnt pull guys doing run throughs with hits all over them

do half of them even know the rules ?

its a hard job that i know but they are geting paid so get em working for it

floor in the xball tent was pure mush half way through the day

Good event, great atmosphere, and a very important touch - there was a sign on the main road telling you where the site was.

Well done to So Manc for the first place.

agreed, we were a little short handed.....but you have to make do with what you have and 5 refs is what we had, i believe that Rich was let down by a couple of people. it would be nice to have as many refs as the millenium events do, but that is never going to happen.

unfortunatly Refs are also human and a: make the occational mistake and b: are unable to accelerate from a stand still to light speed instantly so cant always catch offending players 'doing run throughs with hits all over them' to say they 'wouldnt' pull players out would imply that they were biast toward one team over the other which i assure you that none of the refs on that field are, we arnt a group of randoms thrown together on the day, we are a team who ref together on a regular basis.

no half of them dont know the rules, all of them do. of the 3 refs working on that side of the field 2 of them are 2 of the most experienced players in the UK having played for well over 30 years combined at both uk and international level and have reffed events for years including at international level.

please see above. its not so much that its a 'hard' job more a thankless one, everyone remembers the occational call which doesnt go their way, but how many times can you remember a ref making a good call......i assure you that for every one you dont agree with there are a LOT of calls made.

was good to see you guys there today, dont think ive seen you around for a while, you played well in the morning shame you had to leave early and miss a couple of games.

who were you playin for mr.Frank?.. i saw evil saints wipe out entire teams on the 5man within seconds. it seems like less than 10seconds were played before all 5 opposition were sent packing to the dead box. awesome to watch :)

as for going home early it was a choice i wish i didnt have to make but im glad i did as a two and a half hour journey took 3 and a half with the bad weather on the m5, the guys were looking forward to finishing halfway up the points table oh well guess we will just have to do that nxt round :)
