So it looks like the first batch to be made won't be straps, but laces.

Would just open laces be better like any trainer or would some sort of cover over the laces be good?

Can you make them in smaller sizes? Just thinking about women and young gunz? Not too sure on the name but your idea sounds great.

Staying warm on a sunday!
the lighter you make them the better!

recently bought a pair of nike trainers that weigh practically nothing and the improvement they make when i go for a run is gobsmacking!!!

with that in mind the lighter the material the more prone they are to wear and tear so re enforcement in the right areas would be important!

kevlar is a light and very durable material

just a couple of ideas to throw into the mix

Tinkering ain’t easy
only size 12

Any chance of making some big boy size 13's as im currently using two canoes but these are wearing a bit thin now. I think definatley some waterproofing and something lightweight but durable (such as football boots but more rugged) also rubber blades, but this design needs to be looked into as some angles of blades can cause serious knee and ankle damage if turning quickly. Laces are good but as you say velcro or other means of fastening would be better for those cold fingers in winter.

My 2p's worth

P.s ill have a pair of size 13's please :D

Cheers

Sid
