He said with NO air on it.

People sometimes loose their air tank .............
im pretty sure the rule is for air tanks attached.

also just wondering how can you loose an airtank from a gat? especially if the air is on and pressurised?.

also relating to an earlier post who would take the reg housing off a co2 tank. That must be one of the stupiest things i have ever heard.

I don't know what the argument's about; if you launch any of your kit (bottle, hopper, marker) in anger, on field, you're liable to be penaltied, or if at an MM etc, maybe banned.
Why would someone take an airbottle off on-field? And in any case, if they did, and then threw it, I as a ref aren't going to say 'oh it's Ok he took it off his marker first' am I? :)

I ment throwing the marker, not the air bottle.

Say, if you did a dive and your air bottle came off for whatever reason, and you was left holding your marker with hopper but no air bottle, you would probably be pretty pissed off no ? I'm sure some people would throw what they had left in their hands.

Regardless, it's going off-topic. :p

why get ejected for throwing your marker? throwing a marker with no air on it doesnt really endanger other people on it? if you want to throw your 1k piece of gat on the ground sure ;p

just aslong as theres not an air tank attached to it i dont mind people doing that ;p
Ok you throw your marker anywhere near me or any of my players - your team mates better escort you well away. A marker without a bottle attach is probably more prone to disintegrate and send fragments in any direction therefore very dangerous

The one I saw thrown yesterday almost bounced under the netting as it let off a couple of shots!! There is sometimes looser netting in places or it lifts slightly in the wind, if that had happened it would have shot into the crowd. There were a couple of kids right next to it and obviously a load of us sitting without goggs on. Very bad behaviour and he should have been banned imo

We're trying to convince people that this is a safe sport and everyone takes safety seriously so its about time this sort of thing was punished properly.

Yeah!

Because of the Div/team the player (that I witnessed, prob not your one Lemon) played for I am told (if I'm wrong please correct me) was not punished in terms of points, and a 3-4-1 was not possible because there were no players left on that team.

You should picked it back up calmly walked over took the hopper and air off, held it by the barrell and cracked it across his face....doubt he'd do it again.

I'll be the first to admit if i get shot out when i know i shouldnt have and its my fault i'll vent a bit of anger by puching the floor or kicking the floor on the way back to loosersville but never launch a marker

This is one issue that will need to be addressed at the organisers meeting
And fixed penalties introduced and enforced countrywide ;)

We preach safety, ban for the day rookie players for unknowingly using ramping guns in non ramping event and don't ban a player for arbitarily launching a gassed paintball marker in the vicinity of players and spectators.

Wonder which is the most dangerous?
