From what I understand, from the nearest eye witness other than Nige.

The bottle fractured at the neck, just behind the reg, but his jersey etc was fused to his skin...so this suggests heat....does the air heat up as it expands?

Dont think Nige is the kind of guy to put oil in the reg.
