Yes......but nothing has changed, guns cost the same, as does paint and entry.....without sounding like too much of an *******, organisers and paintball companys give not a flying fizzle for young ballers, or people with little money. The drawbacks of a capitalist society......if you want things to change, i'd go and find another Stalin, and bankroll him into power...ushering a new era of communism and cheap paintball. GO!

Ok, take this example.

60 teams playing each masters event at the minute, £200 entry per team.

Go CPL/SPL doubling average game time so you have to lose half the teams to fit all the games in.

30 teams playing each paying £200 entry per team.

Which is better for the organisers?

Edit:

As Eric has said, the PA is only XBall for this year, it may well adopt the full millennium style CPL/SPL rules next year and having a *choice* of what to play and where to play is much better than being forced into one style.

Yes I think we all would, but it must be CPL/SPL format and millennium rules etc with maybe the next millennium field design to play on.
If it's something as simple as training on the field, and training against the other pro teams - why not actually organise a tournament day/wk-end down at D7's?

Nexus and Shock are always there anyways. Method are normally and then occasionally the Tigers, etc...why not actually have a tournament day the wk-end or 2 wk-ends before the Mil's event?

If entry fees are paid then there could be the whole cash-prize incentive if a simple tournament training session isn't enough...

Would the 7 or so top teams in the country be ar$ed to regularly play a CPL style league on this country, when they already have Millennium and US commitments. Surely that time would be better spent on thier own fields , training against each other and even arranging exchange visits with equivalent or better teams from abroad instead of wasting it at a tournie where they are playing for the sake of playing.

why should people like me who enjoy the current format of the masters and tbh cant afford to up the amount i have to pay out a month be forced into playing a more expensive format to keep the minority of players happy

the nspl runs full millenium rules as it is and you dont see all the top teams traveling to play that
