My only consern about outing them is that it was probbaly one kid acting big. and i dont wanna give a team a bad rep becuse of one member
Collective responsibility. Anyone caught giving it the "Larry Large" should get his ears clipped by the team captain / manager. Everytime some knob claims to get free sh*t, my mate Piper gets 869 phone-calls asking for free (paintball) sh*t (he'll put out man love for free though, not that anyone's asking).

I also reckon that people whom lie about sponsorship also run hot guns, moody software and wipe.

If the objective of the project is to get "the kids off the street" as it usually is it has in fact worked and as such the money has not been wasted, i think the point that is being missed is where this money is coming from, if as i have been lead to believe it is directly from the council, invert is not the hand that feeds and as such the circumstances are different. If something isnt working and you dont have a spare why not shoot another brand, the council wont care. How many times have you herd none sponsored players say thier gun sucks?.
If the council (the taxpayers) are buying Invert gear and giving it away to unappreciative kids who already have paintball guns that they wo8uld in fact prefer to use, then I consider this to be an even bigger disaster then I had previously imagined. However, you are right that the circumstances are different.

Kids are annoying you have said that yourself, you have also pointed out that it usually sorts itself out with time, would you have liked every stupid thing you did broadcast over the Internet..
You would be surprised at what I have had broadcast over the internet.
I didn't say it 'sorts itself out with time'. I said it is up to people that care to show the kids the right way to act, behave, and represent sponsors properly - these are people that have an interest in a healthy industry, and people in positions of authority within it.

Maybe the positives should be addressed, this is an example of councils supporting paintball and actually putting money into it. Attacking the players for doing something so insignificant could see this sort of thing stopping not growing...
You say insignificant. That's your perspective I suppose.
I do think its positive that a local council would put tax-payers money into helping the 'youf', but outfitting an already equipped team with equipment which they, by their own (loud) admission, don't even want to shoot, would seem an absolute waste of money to me. Take the cash - give it to the council to organise some games down at the local field for genuinely under-privileged kids. The kids have fun, the money goes much further, and there's no whiney punks involved.

Lastly believing that one kid slagging off the performance of a marker (one which he probably doesnt fully understand the workings of) at a rookie tournament has a baring on the integrity of the UK scene is lame, really lame.
Ah, so now at last we get to the wounded pride....

its difficult as we are both arguing about a subject that we dont have all the facts to, i was under the impression that they were part of a youth project and as such had nothing to do with paintball before hand and didnt own any other gear, i assumed the other markers they used were borrowed, but im only going on what i have seen at training.

I guess this is never going to get resolved as it just comes down to personal opinion, and as such i apologise for my belittling of the topic, the 2 pages of posts on this proves it has some validity

(the annoying thing is each time i post on this i become more and more hypocritical)

Hey, its cool, I just wanted to stick up for Jett, he had a good point, but he just didn't know how to defend it or get it across strongly enough, at least in my opinion.

Thanks Missy, you are definitely right there, I just think if these kids are from the 'streets' and this is the course that the council has set them upon, surely someone should teach them as much as possible while they are here, like manners, commitment, honour.

I was not thinking I would post up this thread, they will lose their sponsorship, I would get a free gun and my paintball life funded for being such a great chap, I was just wondering maybe I should set them straight how lucky they are, let people like Missy tell them. While I am at it we should include all those people that use this insignificant stuff (like boards) in my eyes this is not insignificant as you ask any of them why they dont use the standard or supporters board they,(if they are sane) will answer 'because I dont like it', 'because it is cr@p' therefore belittling the product and destroying a good name just on personal preference, and that is the preference that sticks, someone that is using the product week in week out (for cheaper than the standard price, so why should I pay full), no matter what level they are at.

What do u think they would be doing if not paintball  the council probly gave the cash as they saw it as worth while

Who cares where the cash comes from better it go to paintball than an Mp's pocket?

TBH would rather see kids/adults anyone play than have it out with them because they dont like the product

1) I was just wondering what are peoples views on this behaviour more then ratting them out as I dont have all the facts.

2) Also what should be done to a team as such.

Jett
1) My view? I think it is very rude of them (if they truly are sponsored), but that seems so obvious to me that it needs no mention.

2) By you or me? Nothing. Job for the teamcaptain. If he doesn't care, job for the sponsor. If he doesn't care, he deserves to be sponsoring a crap team. These things usually sort themselves out.
